The town of Haines, in southeast Alaska, celebrates the Fourth of July with a parade, picnic, and other activities. Among the participants in the parade was a group wearing traditional Tlingit clothing, including Chilkat blankets which are worn on special occasions.
Haines, a picturesque costal fishing community, is located on the Lynn Canal between the towns of Skagway and Juneau.
